About this role
Sets up and operates CNC and conventional machines to produce aerospace components and inspect finished parts.
This role is for a skilled machinist to operate CNC machines or Conventional machining processes. This role will be in the production of Aerospace components where you will be involved with the setting up of tooling, machining various materials and maintaining the quality of the produced parts. Your machining skills will be in adequate depth to provide a sound background to our machine operations, and for you to carrying out the activities to our required specifications.
You will understand the safety precautions required when working with the machine and its associated tools and equipment. Ensures work complies with customer specifications and company procedures. Ensures quality of production parts is to the required standard. Is able to understand and comply with Company procedures.
Is willing to be trained on all processes within the Aerospace, Martin Baker or Rocket Cell Machining department. Is able to work on own initiative and as part of the team. Is willing to work additional hours as and when required by the business. Is proactive with a strong ability to find own solutions to problems.
Is responsible for house-keeping in the areas of own work. Demonstrates HSE awareness and follows procedures Is capable of interpreting part specific engineering drawings and associated documentation.
