General Construction Operative/Builder

General Construction Operative / Builder - DGC Limited. DGC Limited is a well-established Isle of Man groundworks and construction contractor with a strong project pipeline and a full management and operational structure behind every job. We are looking for a skilled, time-served builder to join our established site team.

This is a role for someone who knows how to build from the foundations up and takes pride in doing it well, backed by the plant, materials, management and workforce needed to deliver each project properly. It would suit an experienced tradesperson - including someone who has previously run their own business - looking for a change of pace and the security of working within a strong, well-resourced team.

The successful candidate will carry out groundwork packages and general construction work across our project portfolio, working as a key member of the site team. Drawing on solid all-round building experience, they will help drive projects forward efficiently and safely, working closely with the management team above them and the operatives alongside and below them.

The individual will be comfortable contributing to both small and large projects, confident in their trade, and focused on getting the job done to a high standard as part of a coordinated team effort. Candidates should be time-served with strong, hands-on experience across the full build process, from foundations upward.

Experience in groundworks is important; drainage knowledge is an advantage but not essential. Experience reading and understanding construction details and drawings is essential. We are looking for practical foresight, sound judgement, and the ability to work well within an established team. A full clean driving licence is required.
