Head Chef

Bradda View Nursing & Residential Home are looking for a Head Chef to join the team, to be responsible for menu development, creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus for our residents, to a high standard. The Head Chef will provide oversight and management for the staff within the kitchen at the Home.

Key Responsibilities include:- Developing a cost-effective budget and menus for residents which contributes to a healthy and balanced diet. Prepare a range of meals and snacks for residents, being aware of and be able to cater for a range of diets, including residents with specific dietary requirements.

In conjunction with the Health Care staff, ensure that food is provided to the correct consistency for residents with swallowing difficulties, ensuring that this food is appealing for the resident. Oversight and management of kitchen staff to include resource management, interviewing, appraisals, and staff development.

Stock ordering, as and when required. Working with the Home Manager to identify areas for improvements in terms of culinary experience for residents.
