Head of Compliance and Risk

Our client seeks a Head of Compliance, Regulatory Reporting & Risk to join their team. Purpose of role:

To provide visible senior leadership to the Compliance functions across the group with emphasis on enterprise and regulatory risk, regulatory compliance and reporting. To keep the group safe by ensuring the regulatory responsibilities of the Group are fulfilled and related reporting timely and accurately fulfilled, whilst providing expert guidance on regulatory opportunities and threats and horizon scanning to ensure the longevity and success of the group of companies.

Role Responsibilities:

Implement, deliver and maintain regulatory reports internal and external to the agreed Board and Regulatory timetable including AEOI. Understand and document regulatory requirements across the Group and partner with IT and Board (s) to agree and deliver on reporting timetable. Ensure an appropriate regulatory and risk framework is maintained and applied across all group companies.

Deliver policies, procedures and management information reports to support the business areas in delivering services to Clients. Evolve and strengthen the regulatory and risk framework of the Group to support growth and operational scalability and maintain regulatory compliance.Provide management and support to the Group compliance function including the MLRO(s).

Enhance the Groups compliance framework, policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place and adhered to in respect of regulatory compliance and risk mitigation and regulatory deadlines are achieved. Lead regulatory and risk function by example, visibly demonstrating high standards of professionalism, personal accountability and cross team collaboration.

Proactively manage your own performance and the performance of your team ensuring continued alignment of resource and activity towards company objectives. Understand employee engagement levels and take actions to improve them. Key Skills and Experience: 5 or more years of experience operating at a senior level within the regulatory compliance, reporting and risk function of a relevant regulated entity.
