Medicines Counter / Sales Assistant

We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Medicines Counter / Sales Assistant to join our busy community pharmacy on a part-time basis. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. The role involves providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, advising customers on suitable products within your level of training and competence, processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining attractive product displays and ensuring shelves are well stocked, assisting with stock management, ordering, and deliveries.

The jobholder will also support the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team with day-to-day operations. Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills, be friendly, approachable and have a professional manner, good attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work as part of a team, basic computer literacy, and a reliable and flexible approach to work.

Previous retail, healthcare or pharmacy experience, and knowledge of over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products is desirable.
