Tax Advisor

Our client seeks a Tax Advisor to join their team. This role will support the business by providing expert indirect tax advice and ensuring compliance with applicable tax legislations across all business activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients and external advisors to identify efficient solutions, minimise risk, and support the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of VAT advisory projects across a broad portfolio of clients and sectors. Prepare technical VAT advice, reports and client deliverables, applying Isle of Man/UK VAT legislation and case law. Assist with complex advisory assignments. Build strong client relationships, acting as a day-to-day contact for allocated workstreams.

Analyse client data and provide practical, commercially focused VAT solutions. Collaborate with colleagues on multidisciplinary projects. Continue developing your technical knowledge while supporting the growth of the wider practice. Using judgement to highlight and report significant matters that require the attention of management.

Key Skills and Experience:

Experience in VAT gained within practice or industry concerning the aviation and yachting sectors. A good understanding of IoM/UK VAT legislation and an interest in developing your advisory expertise. Confident in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to continue learning and developing. Able to take accountability and responsibility for own personal development.
