Community Support Worker - Overnight Support

The overnight carer will be responsible for providing safe, reassuring and person-centred support to the client in their own home throughout the night. The role will involve supporting the client with their evening and bedtime routine, toileting as required, and responding promptly if assistance is needed during the night.

The carer will ensure that the client remains comfortable and safe, provide medication support where required and authorised, and monitor for any changes in the client’s wellbeing. The carer will also provide appropriate morning support, complete all required care records, and report any concerns or incidents to the on-call manager.

The carer must be reliable, calm and confident working independently overnight, while maintaining the client’s dignity, privacy, independence and confidentiality at all times.
