We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head Chef to join our team, who is keen to take an active role in both the executive management of the business, as well as being hands-on in the kitchen. We are looking for an individual who can take a holistic view on the business, and work with our General Manager and Owners to further refine and define the next stages of the business strategy and implementation of the same to carry Kellas into the future, building on the strong foundations already laid.
On a day-to-day basis, our Head Chef will be hands-on, leading our culinary team and elevating the dining experience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and hospitality. Your leadership will inspire creativity in the kitchen while maintaining efficient workflows and exceptional service.

Summary of Key Responsibilities Work closely with the rest of the Executive Management Team to drive food sales and enhance the guest experience.
Design and develop menus, seasonal dishes, and daily specials. Recruit, train, motivate, and develop kitchen team members. Prepare and deliver high-quality fresh food to consistently high standards. With a strong ability in breads and sauces and creative knack for adapting British classics and giving them a modern twist.
Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Lead kitchen service and ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Monitor gross profit margins and food costs to ensure profitability targets are met. Manage food ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships. Control stock levels, minimise waste, and maximise kitchen efficiency.
Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation. Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety, and allergen regulations.
