Housekeeper / Family Support – Private Household

We are looking for a reliable, organised and trustworthy housekeeper to support a private family household in the Little Switzerland area of Douglas. The household includes two children aged 13 and 11, one small dog and a cat, so the successful candidate should be comfortable around children and pets.

Key responsibilities will include general household cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing beds, keeping the home tidy and well organised, and helping with day-to-day household tasks. The role may also include occasional grocery shopping, preparing simple family meals by following recipes, light pet care and providing general family support when required.

There may also be occasional occasions when an overnight stay at the property is required, for example when the family is away. Previous experience in housekeeping, domestic work, hospitality or a similar family-support role would be helpful, although a formal CV is not essential. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, comfortable working independently and takes pride in maintaining a home to a high standard.
