Sales Ledger Controller

This role is responsible for improving the organisation’s working capital by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, effective management of the sales ledger, and maintaining strong credit control processes. The position involves raising weekly sales invoices, communicating with customers regarding invoices and payment queries, monitoring customer adherence to agreed payment terms, and taking appropriate action to recover overdue debts while maintaining positive customer relationships.

The role also supports the accounts, finance, compliance, and senior management teams by administering new customer set-ups, producing customer statements, allocating payments, maintaining accurate sales ledger records, and assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks. In addition, the post holder is responsible for creating and distributing weekly aged debt reports with commentary on debt status and risk, whilst demonstrating excellent communication, organisation, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in systems such as Microsoft Excel and Business Central.
