Role Profile
We are seeking an outstanding Managing Director to lead this banking institution through its next phase of growth and development. Reporting to the Chair and Group CEO, the Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the Bank's strategy, performance, culture and regulatory compliance. You will lead the Bank's strategic direction, profitability and business development, while ensuring the highest standards of governance, compliance and ethical conduct. The role requires close engagement with regulators, the Board, senior leadership teams and external stakeholders.
About You
Seeking a proven banking or financial services leader with the expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capability to demonstrate:
- A recognised UK professional banking qualification.
- Previous approval under the UK's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMF1, SMF3 or SMF18) or equivalent.
- Extensive leadership experience within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of UK and Isle of Man banking markets, including asset finance and deposit products.
- A deep understanding of regulatory expectations across the Isle of Man and UK financial services sectors.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive commercial growth and influence at Board level.
- Eligible to work and live on the Isle of Man or be prepared to relocate as required.
